I’m back in the mail-crypting game


Actually I used to have a key for a long time now – but due to a hard disc crash I lost my private key (Key-ID: 12631E82), which comes unhandy. So for a while now, I was without any key. Now I created myself a new one. So, when mailing me, please make sure, that you actually use my new GnuPG key, whenever possible.

Vista is funny


Ever needed admin rights to install software on a Vista PC and got frustrated because you had none?

Well, try this:

  1. Right-click on the Tool you want to run/install
  2. Navigate to Properties -> Compatability
  3. Tick the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”
  4. Change the Drop-Down-Box Value to “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)”

And you’re done. Now you should be able to run the program.

Oh – and if you want to install something: Of course you need admin rights to write to c:programs. You don’t need them for programs though, so just create a folder there.
